Welcome to America

I have come to the conclusion that the method of immigrating to another county is a joke. Whilst some people hop over the border to gain a new lifestyle. I have to wait a year and a half to get a visa. It is truly ridiculous.

It’s ironic really that it takes so long. In all seriousness the process could be cut a lot shorter. I mean you could just get a flight to another country, buy a house, car etc and BAM you’re now a resident of a new country. But non it has to be made difficult.

Long tiring tests full of trivia, endless forms, constantly waiting, sleepless nights, embarrassing pictures, health inspections, the list is truly endless. Why couldn’t the immigration system be simple?

So what have I gained from this experience: a CD-ROM of personal chest X-Rays and residency of America. To be honest I’m more interested in the X-Rays. Oh and lets not forget the great films on the flights between California and England.

So it seems after consistent test and trials I have now greeted that final step. At first extremely reluctant, but now strangely willing. That major leap from being part of the English community into a participant of the American culture has finally been taken. I have done it!

Welcome to America.

So here’s a song about America, ironically by an excellent English band.

I hope you enjoy.
