Nothing stops the blogs/ little things

The blogs are a once-a-week event that brings forth many emotions from those who write them.

Some can’t wait to begin another blog post to gossip about their favorite trend or share something in hopes that others will agree and validate what they are saying. Others can’t stand the weekly deadline looming over their heads, reminding them of the labor of schoolwork.

However, I think the blogs also show the power of routine and consistency. If getting an A in journalism was the ultimate goal, the blogs are the little things that push your grade forward. It might not be a majorly impactful thing like stories or the finals, but they slowly help bring your grade up, making up for any mistakes you make on the big things.

However, small things can be equally detrimental as they are helpful. When you stop doing the small things, they all add up and can affect your goal. As someone with two missing blogs, I can speak to this being very true, as it is dragging my grade down considerably, even though it was just two small things rather than two major assignments.

reguardless, I think this applies to all goals in life, as it’s the little things that you do every day that show when it counts. It can be applied to sports, such as basketball, where every practice shot you take makes the in-game shots that much easier. Or, in your relationships with friends, family, and romantic partners, all the little things add up to be often more important than the single big thing. The occasional text to your parents saying you appreciate them, a Facetime to your sibling, a small compliment to your friends, A random gift or message to your partner showing you care and appreciate them.

This isn’t saying only focus on the little things in life; rather than stressing over all the big things, take a moment and focus on the little things.

Movie? Anime? Drama?

My roommate and I have a weekly routine of watching movies and dramas together. When I became roommates with her, we bought a projector for our room. We also have a routine of eating ramen while watching them most of the time.
Our latest routine is to watch the Japanese anime” Spy Family”. In this anime, the main character is a girl with psychic powers who can read people’s minds. She has pink hair and is very pretty. However, this new season has less content than the previous ones, and we can see the dark side of the fact they are continuing it only to earn money. With all that said, we still like the anime.
The movie we recently watched is “Seven” It is a story of a murder case based on people’s greed. To be honest, this movie was very fleeting and disgusting at the end.
Perhaps, I am not good at watching dramas and I keep watching them because I get curious about the next chapter. Also, I feel uncomfortable watching a drama that goes on and on, so I prefer to watch a movie that can be completed in one sitting.
Right now, my roommate and I have a long list of movies we want to see.

Staying Active

Since this global pandemic situation, I can say that I’ve been pretty inactive. I have no motivation to be active at this point. It is not a good time to go out and have fun with friends, and I can see my flaps on the belly clearly, so I decided to start home workouts. I do not have a lot of experience in this field, so I had to look up some videos on Youtube, and as I expected there were millions of videos of workouts that you can do by yourself. I decided to do 100 pushups every day and some cardio.

I do not know If I can keep up with this routine for months, but I will try my best to get in shape, so I don’t have to struggle when I go back to school.

I believe it is worth time, so I suggest you guys do it too. Exercises vitalize your body and mind.

I truly hope everyone is safe, and this situation will get better soon.

The Grey Road

ded

They curve along like a snake.
How much pain can they take?

Grey and cracked showing no fear.
Why does one even tread here?

It not fun.

Imaginative.

Scary.

Exciting.

Nor beneficial.

Yet we all do it just as were told.

Why does this routine not grow old?
