Today I am faced with a dilemma. The question has popped up, if a player does not see his future at a club as being positive should he leave? If I was playing at a club, and the future was not filled with big and shiny trophys, I would leave, if I could. But what if that club raised me, got me where I was, and always has the potential of winning? Wayne Rooney has made up his mind, he wants out of Manchester United. Although I cannot say I am happy with his choice, I can not say that I would not do the same thing.

Manchester United has no money and two owners who dont look to be leaving any time soon. The team is getting old and has no money to cahnge that. Wayne Rooney is a star, a very bankable one. Teams line up if they hear one whisper of him thinking about a switch. But is there another team in the world that can compete with Manchester United’s history? Liverpool fans will say yes and I would kindly point to their position in the league table, I believe 19th. They might be even on league titles but we have more international success. We also have arguably the greatest coach of this era in Sir Alex Ferguson (emphisis on the Sir part). And although we dont have the money to sign a big name right now, we have plenty to pay Rooney enough to buy fast cars and expensive clothes. I dont want another Cristiano Ronaldo here, another star who beleives theya re better than the team. Rooney admits that United have made him, and I appreciate that. But I beg, let us prove to you we can continue our sucess. Give us one more season of your amazing talent and we will show you silver and gold.
