President Obama announced this Tuesday that he is a Christian “by choice.” It’s kind of sad that Obama still has to prove himself to the American public. Almost two years after the presidential elections, and some people still either a) don’t believe that he is Christian, and/or b) think that he is a Muslim.
Right, because Obama has the middle name “Hussein,” and that his dad was from Kenya means that he is a Muslim extremist who wants to kill America and all of it’s values.

First of all, Obama is a Christian. Like it or not, he is. Secondly, what’s the problem with being a Muslim? Islam and Christianity are pretty much the same things. Thirdly, so what if Obama was Muslim?
Like I just said, the two religions are so alike that it almost doesn’t matter. Amidst all of this talk of religion, one of America’s greatest values has been forgotten. That is the separation of church and state.
It is so interesting how so many people have forgotten about this. It basically says that religion and politics should stay out of the way of each other. Although it is not specifically mentioned in the Constitution, one of our greatest and earliest presidents, Thomas Jefferson, supported it. This is why it is ridiculous for people like the “Tea Partiers” and the “Birthers” to get so worked up about Obama’s heritage and religion.
So what if he was Muslim? It wouldn’t change anything. If anything it would be better because he wouldn’t have to waste his time trying to argue with ignorant people like the Tea Partiers.

Very enlightening, I never realized the controversy was still present. I especially like the picture you’ve included.
