Food art.
I believe the media lacks focus on food art.
I’m sure I’m not alone when I say I used to take potato chips and try to figure out which one of my classmates the chip resembled.
Yeah. You know you’ve tried this.
I like food art because it combines my two favorite things:
Food
and weird stuff. Or cool stuff. Take your pick.
Apple art was a new thing to me. But I enjoy it immensely.

Seriously, is that not way too cool?
I wish I had the patience and skill to make food art.
But, unfortunately for me, I have no -or possibly negative- talent in art.
In fact, every time I get an “artsy” assignment in school, my grade goes down. Sometimes dramatically.
My sister once told me that except for water lilies, everything I draw looks like sad mashed potatoes.
And I concur. Wholeheartedly.
We begin our journey in the Cool/Weird Food Section:

That is actually so awesome. Ice cream animals. Oh yes.

This thing is impressive. Can’t say I actually know what the terms mean, but it’s great.

One of my favorites: mythology pancakes.

This one literally blew my mind. I actually said, “whoa” and had to blink a few times. Watermelon tiger. What’s not to love?

I’m really liking the flower-shaped foods. Don’t know why.

Gotta say, this one scared me a little.

Not sure what it is…

LOVE this one.

Moving on to the Cute Food Section:
Bread turtles. Never seen that one before…

If you’ve never had a cake pop, you should try one. They’re really quite lovely.

Cat food.

I’ve yet to master the art of frosting.

Loving the melon art.

I think these are mini Totoros. That was such a good movie.

Not my favorite book. But this is clever.

Yummmmmm.

Watched Ghostbusters last night. Gives a whole new meaning to mashmellows…

Angry Bird.

This is exceedingly excellent.

COOKIE!

And now we’ve come to the Gorgeous Food Section:

Well I hope you enjoyed the exploration of food art. Cheers!
My favorite is the watermelon jaguar! That is way cool!
