My ears are full of screaming and my arm just couldn’t stop waving with other people.

My eyes are obsessed with the colorful lights and my heart just couldn’t stop beating to the same rhythm as the music.

This is surely an unforgettable night – Nov. 3rd, 2012.

BIGBANG is a popular Korean K-Pop singer group from Korean Entertainment company “YG Family(link)”. The group is made of 5 energetic young boys, they are G-dragon(link), T.O.P, Taeyang, Seungri, and Daesung.

BIGBANG is one of the most popular singer groups in Asia. They just released their new album “Alive” this spring, and they are now bringing the new album to a concert tour around the world starting this March in Korea.

Small Things Lover.

I am always obsessed with the small things.

According to Guinness World Records, the smallest horse in the world is a horse named Tamberlina of the U.S. state of Missouri.

However, this little guy may soon take its place. Born in April 2010, in Barnstead, New Hampshire, the three-day old pinto stallion, Einstein, is just 14 inches high and weighs only an incredible 6lbs.

Dr Rachel Wagner, Einstein’s co-owner, claims that “the Guinness Book of Records lists the smallest newborn horse as weighing just 9lbs.”

From Oprah to travelling across the U.S. it has certainly been an eventful first year for Einstein, the world’s smallest stallion, as he approaches his birthday.

World of Color.

Art is a mysterious world. Different culture produces different kinds of arts. As for my experience with ART, Chinese Watercolor is my favorite way to express this world.

Even though water color art actually originated in Europe, the Chinese were quite familiar with the use of the brush as they were expert calligraphers that worked with their own tools – brush and ink. The origin of it can be traced back to about 2000 years ago.

Initially the Chinese artists focused on realistic expression of their subject matter. This approach produced some fantastic paintings that displayed intricate detailing and an intelligent use of color.

Later on the Chinese experimented by adopting different techniques such as abstraction and exaggeration and other new techniques such as transfiguration and decoration. Colors are used in the two mayor styles of Chinese painting, in the detailed, more academic style called kung-pi (gongbi) and in the spontaneous style hsieh-i (xieyi).

Spirited Away.

Have you ever imagined your unique name is taken away? Who are you then? Name is an identity of a person. It contains a family’s history and it can also contains memories.

Spirited Away is an Japanese animated movie written and directed by Hayao Miyazaki and produced by Studio Ghibli which tells a story of an adventure of Chihiro and her family.

However, after watching the movie, I realized that this was not a simple cartoon, but a moving animation filled with profound sense.

Chihiro is a fourth grader in Japan. The story started by the scene which she was on the way with her parents to another city, they planned to move there and start a new life. However, they were lost on the way and accidentally entered a ghost town. The town was run by an old lady Yubaba, who is also the owner of a bathhouse inside the town. The bathhouse is a holy property for the town, Yubaba said it is the places where Japanese Gods take bath. Yubaba has some kind of magic power, but the people in town call her a witch.

There is a law in the town that if you don’t have a job, you will be transformed into a pig and will end up being pork served in meals for other people in town. Therefore, when Chihiro’s parents were found, they were captured and transformed into pigs.

Black n White.

They are the cutest creatures who are painted in black and white. With a bear shape and a cat face, they are members of the bear family.

Now take a look at them. Black fur on ears, nose, eyes patches, and shoulders and the rest is white. They move slowly and clumsily. However, each movement only makes them cuter and cuter like they care about nothing.

They live in a few mountain ranges in central China, mainly in the Sichuan province, but also in the Shaanxi and Gansu provinces. They spend their lives roaming and feeding in the bamboo forests.

They have simple eating habits. They eat bamboo only, so they have to live in certain places where large amount of bamboo can be found. But in the zoos, the can eat some other things like rice porridge, apples, sweet potatoes and carrots.

Pick Me Up.

Tiramisu is a gorgeous Italian dessert, it has became very common in restaurants and bakeries nowadays.

It is made of ladyfingers (In Italian: Savoiardi) dipped in coffee, layered with a whipped mixture of egg yolks and mascarpone cheese, and flavored with liquor and cocoa. Tiramisu has a very smooth structure and a very rich taste in every spoonful of it, it is magical.

Everybody knows by now that Tiramisu’ means “pick-me-up” in Italian, for the high energetic content (eggs and sugar) and the caffeine of the strong espresso coffee. There are many different stories about the origin of Tiramisu’. It is a layered cake; therefore some people place its origin in Tuscany, where another famous layered Italian dessert is very popular. It is called “Zuppa Inglese” (English Soup).

GODIVA, CHOCOLATE HEAVEN.

My favorite chocolate brand is Godiva. I call it the chocolate heaven.

The famous story of Lady Godiva is the inspiration behind the Godiva Chocolatier name. In the 11th century, Lady Godiva and her husband Lord Leofric lived in Coventry, England. Lord Leofric was a powerful ruler who was unsympathetic to the citizens of his kingdom. Lady Godiva, however, was a woman of great generosity who had dedicated her life to the impoverished and stricken.

When Lord Leofric imposed a heavy burden of taxation upon his subjects, Lady Godiva protested. In response, Lord Leofric set forth this challenge: If his wife rode naked through the streets, the taxation would be lifted. Lady Godiva was a modest woman, but she immediately agreed to this challenge to help her fellow townspeople.

Centuries later in 1926, Godiva founder and master chocolatier Joseph Draps created a new line of Belgian chocolates with extraordinary richness, premium quality, and iconic style. He sought a name for his company that embodied timeless values balanced with modern boldness – much like our lady of legend. The choice became clear to Draps: He named his company GODIVA.

Promise me, Dear Lapland.

Do you remember the promise, Lapland?

I know you do.

Covering the whole of northern Finland, Lapland is said to be the true home of Santa. No surprise then, this place really comes into its own at Christmas. Imagine cozy log cabins, crackling campfires and husky sleds and reindeer sleighs swishing through the snow. Plus, there are plenty of ways to get out into the wilderness, like snowmobiling and skiing.

And that is the place that hides at almost the northern top of the world, also the deepest corner within my heart.

Yesterday was a special day for me. I had my first cross country meet in my life.

We left for The Thatcher School for the meet. The whole team went there and most of us were going to run under the fervent sun for 3 miles.

My leg still hurt from last day’s practice and I didn’t really feel nervous until we stood on the starting line, with other girls talking by my side. They cheered, laughed. Five of us – me, Min Ju, Momoe, Emmy and Ally represented our school. I was in Line 6, the number stands for luck in Chinese.

“Take your mark, ready, GO! ” We flew out of the lines like birds finally gained freedom from the cages. “Three miles, just as what we usually run at school. ” I encouraged myself.

It was hard, I admitted. We need to run two times of the course. For the first one, Min Ju and I was running together and we sometimes talked to each other so that we would not feel tired.
