iPhone 13!

Recently iPhone 13 just came out. I have been using my iPhone XR for almost three years which means I’m thinking of buying a new phone. Furthermore, I have turned eighteen recently. In Taiwan age of eighteen means, you are an adult. I’m able to drive, go to clubs and do anything. In my family, we usually have a tradition that we celebrate, go to a fancy restaurant to congrats we have turned to an adult. Yet, I’m far from my family while I’m studying here in America. All I could do is celebrate with my friends. For me, I don’t feel the changes from a child to an adult, but I feel sad that I couldn’t be with my family during this huge transition. After my birthday, one of my friends is using the same phone as mine, and he wants to upgrade his phone. At this time,  we have decided on buying a new phone together. I have decided to spend this much money to give myself an eighteenth birthday gift. I never spend this much money. I feel accomplish and happy. On the other hand, I feel it’s kind of a waste of money that my old phone didn’t break at all and still buy a new one. Nevertheless, I have done a lot of research that if the user using below than iPhone 11, iPhone 13 can be a great upgrade. There is a lot of features that have been upgraded including the battery life, the super retina XDR display, ceramic shield, and the A15 chip. If you are a user thats using iPhone 11 or below, it could be a huge upgrade for you.

Plague Inc.-Fun but Deadly!

While reviewing my most recent blog, I came to the mindset that maybe I should write something that’s got nothing to do with sports!

I know you’re all surprised but this is pretty cool. I recently downloaded a new app on my iPad called “Plague Inc.”. This simulator enables the player to take control of their very own disease and attempt to infect and (end result) completely annihilate the entire human race. Imagine sending the humans into complete extinction.

Considering I’m not human (ha), I see literally no controversy of any kind with this game. It’s not like you’re running around with guns and blowing the heads off of zombies. There’s no gore whatsoever. There’s no blood. The only thing possibly traumatic about this game is the principle that you are, in fact eliminating everyone on the planet.

There’s nothing wrong with that. I’m gonna talk a little bit about some problems I see with the game.

Food Art

Food art.

I believe the media lacks focus on food art.

I’m sure I’m not alone when I say I used to take potato chips and try to figure out which one of my classmates the chip resembled.

Yeah.  You know you’ve tried this.

I like food art because it combines my two favorite things:

Food

and weird stuff.  Or cool stuff.  Take your pick.

Apple art was a new thing to me.  But I enjoy it immensely.

Seriously, is that not way too cool?

I wish I had the patience and skill to make food art.

But, unfortunately for me, I have no -or possibly negative- talent in art.

In fact, every time I get an “artsy” assignment in school,  my grade goes down.  Sometimes dramatically.

Crossover, Windows for Mac Impossible!!!!

https://i0.wp.com/cdn4.digitaltrends.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/01/Win-7-Boot-Camp-on-iMac.jpg

I love Apple’s OS. It is great, it’s quick, easy, and functional. Nothing of course is perfect and there is one major thing about Mac’s operating system that annoys me. There is just too much windows software that cannot be run on macs. This is a major annoyance. For example most computer games are for windows only. Now of course there is way to side step this minor obstacle. All you have to do is run Bootcamp and run and buy a $115 copy of windows. No one wants to spend money on that though.

This is where a handy little program called Crossover comes in useful. Crossover creates a Windows emulation on your Mac. This allows you to run window programs that would normally be incompatible with Apple’s OS. Crossover is much easier to use than other emulation software. For any Mac user who has trouble with running Windows programs I strongly recommend Crossover.(Link will be at the bottom)

iPhone & Apps,Cydia

Like most people I am quite fond of apple products. I use my MacBook on a daily bases( such as writing blogs) and it provides virtually all of my entertainment. One of the many Apple products that have revolutionized the world is the iPhone. I myself love my iPhone but I cannot be the only user that agrees that Apple continually slights 3rd party developers. Occasionally I find myself frustrated with Apples policy against 3rd part software. Nowhere is this more prevalent then in the jail-broken app store Cydia.

Using jail-breaking software such as greenpois0n or Redsn0w, iPhone users can download an App-Store known as Cydia. This app can be used for nefarious or benevolent purposes. Some of these features include apps such as Installous which sole purpose in life is to install free app store apps. One of my personal favorites is PdaNet which allows users to tether(wirelessly or wired) your phone to your computer. Long story short you can siphon internet from your phone to your computer. It is a particularly useful app when fighting OVS 11oclock Internet restriction.

Although people are strongly divided on whether jail breaking should be allowed I for one think it should be. Feel free to leave your opinion in a comment below.https://i0.wp.com/image.spreadshirt.com/image-server/image/composition/18399977/view/1/producttypecolor/203/type/png/width/280/height/280/anti-apple-idiot-retro-shirt_design.png

Ipad, 3rd times the charm.

The IPad3. Legions of apple fans are awaiting the release of the 3rd incarnation of this revolutionary project. The IPad3 is set to be released sometimes this summer, most likely during the same time as the Iphone5. Rumors are abound with the specifications of this product. Let’s take a look at the possible features of the Ipad3.

Two words, A5X quad core chip processor. The IPad had the A4 Processor, Ipad2 has the A5 Processor, so it is thought that the IPad3 would have the A6 Processor. These rumors have been dispelled officially, but a new rumor has arose. The ipad3 will contain the prototype A5X chip. This chip is the latest chip in the apple product line.

Apple lovers and average consumers will be delighted to see what the Ipad3 has to offer. I for one hope that it will be as revolutionary as the original IPad instead of a rehash of previous features.

RIP Steve Jobs

OH MY GOD WHAT THE @*^%?

I look at my Facebook page and the first thing I see is basically “1 billion friends posted about Steve Jobs.”

Well, not really 1 billion, but about 30. And I just couldn’t believe that Steve Jobs, co-founder of Apple, had passed away.

I remember my first iPod that I ever owned. I remember walking into the store, getting out all my money from my piggy bank that I had saved up, and paying for my white iPod video, my new prized possession.

At that time, I did not think about the iPod itself. Someone had taken the time to invent and perfect this marvelous creation that a majority of people around the world now own and use on a daily basis. But, I do remember thinking that it was the coolest thing EVER.

Then the iPhone became popular along with Mac computers, and Apple had officially become one of the most popular electronic s companies on the market. And so a legend was born, Steve Jobs, who continued to create new things and improve already top-notch electronic devices.

He was a huge influence in the world of technology. I am sure most of these advancements we have today would not exist without him.

I don’t own an iPhone or a Mac, but I do have an iPod and I’d say it is one of the best devices I own. Too bad he won’t be around to invent more.

RIP Steve Jobs. Obviously I didn’t know you personally, but you were pretty kick-ass.

The New Ipad

null

Since the iPad 1 was released in 2010, 14.79 million of the tablets have been sold. On March 2, 2011, Steve Jobs returned from medical leave to introduce the new iPad, iPad 2.

The new iPad is a thinner, lighter, and faster version of the old one, but it will sell at the same prices as the original models. The iPad 2 includes a front and back camera, which the people are allowed to have video chat.

It will be available on March 11, and the prices will range from 499 dollars to 829 dollars. Despite his health condition, Mr. Jobs still show up to introduce the new item because he strongly believes that iPad is Apple’s future. “We’ve been working on this product for a while and I just didn’t want to miss today,” he said.

Although companies like Samsung, Dell, Motorola have also introduced rival tablets, they are not able to match the iPad’s pricing. For example, the Motorola Xoom costs 800 dollars, and The Samsung Galaxy Tab is available for 500 dollars, but it is way smaller than the iPad. So Mr. Jobs believes that the new ipad will still be the leading tablet computer in the future.

“This Changes Everything, Again.” Again

“Beginning February 10, the phone that changed everything will be available on both AT&T and Verizon Wireless in the United States.” This is the message posted on the apple website recently that announces the long-awaited decision to expand the networks on which the iPhone is available.

AT&T will continue to sell the iPhone, and apple has decided that both networks will offer all of the same features (things like FaceTime and Video Recording) and has also included an incentive for Verizon customers to upgrade their phone’s, saying “Qualified Verizon Wireless customers will also have the exclusive opportunity to pre-order iPhone 4 online on February 3, ahead of general availability.”

This marks a turning point in the mobile phone market, creating a large incentive for other major providers to step up their game. With two of the main service providers carrying one of the best smartphones in the world, the others will be playing catch up for some time. In the words of apple, “This changes everything, again.”

Apple’s future

nullApple CEO Steve Jobs is taking his second leave of absence from the company in two years. Due to his medical condition, Steve Jobs has asked the board of directors for granting his request for leave of absence.

However, as he is focusing on his health, he will still serve as CEO and stay involved in major decisions for the company. Tim Cook , who is Apple’s chief operating officer and the genius behind Steve Jobs, will take control of the company while Steve Jobs is absent.

It seems that there is no such a big problem for the world’s largest tech company. However, now there major concerns are whether Apple will still be able to produce innovative products without Steve, and whether will Steve’s health will affect Apple’s Stock or not.
