I have always been and always will be a Coke fan. It is in my opinion a thousand times better than Pepsi, not only in taste but also in marketing and the company all around.
Coca Cola is the main sponsor for the Olympic Game, as well as a world wide known brand. Coca Cola is a brand that is known to put a smile on some one face.
Coke has always had some of the greatest banners and adds to represent their product. The older ones are amazing, and they show us that coke has been around for quite a while. As well as their christmas adds.
The bottles have changed quite a bit since the 1899, and to be honest I wish they looked the way they used to look.
Something awesome that I found was that Coke used to have Coca Cola coupons that entitled you to a free glass of Coke! that is so cool, its too bad that some things have changed.
For some, Coca Cola has been a part of their lives for the entire duration and for others it has never been introduced, but when it is introduced it is known to be loved.
In order to stay in shape and not get ill, it is extremely important to sleep. When I saw this headline, I was like, “well duh, sleeping is important. I know that.” But as I read into this interesting research outcome, I found very interesting facts so you better read through this!
Research shows that people who sleep 7 to 8 hours a day have the lowest obesity index than anyone else. Compared to people who get 5 hours of sleep, their obesity index is 50% lower, and for those of you who get 4 hours of sleep, 75% lower. That means, the less you sleep, the higher the tendency to get obese.
But why? The reason is because of the unbalance of the hormones reptine and ghrelin. Reptine is the hormone produced by fat cells that controls your appetite, and ghrelin produced by your stomach increases your appetite. So, if you don’t get enough sleep, reptine will decrease and ghrelin will decrease. People who get 5 hours of sleep compared to 8 hours of sleep, they have 16% less of reptine and 15% more of ghrelin, which means it, increases your appetite and prefer higher calorie foods.
Lack of sleep is one of the biggest enemies to a diet, but it’s not too late. After a reducing sleeping experiment, the examinees took 10 hours of sleep for two days and the hormone balance got back to normal. Also, the rate of craving food got 25% lower.
So sleep well to stay in shape.

I was looking through the news on CNN and I came across something that in my opinion is magnificent. I read and watched an article about an airplane car.
This is a fully functional airplane that can travel up to 500 miles in distance, with the addition of being able to fit inside your garage as well as being able to drive on the highway and any other roads.
The woman in the video said something that caught my attention, she said that if they fly somewhere and the weather gets to be too windy than they can just drive back on the freeway! isn’t that just AWESOME!!!
I knew that eventually flying cars would become a possibility, but I didn’t think it would happen so yet. The world is definitely changing at a very fast pace.
I wonder what other crazy inventions will come up in the near future. Hopefully good ones.
Ok yes I do live in sunny California but it’s still very exciting to be booking a holiday to somewhere hot. Somewhere with beautiful, idyllic beaches, great food and a lovely warm sea. The prospect of relaxing with absolutely no cares in the world is so appealing right now. Just one more thing to do, make it through senior year.
To some, Senior year may have been a breeze, but to me right now it is a struggle to make it through. No I’m not suffering from the good old senioritous. I just really need a break. Some people may say that your High School years are the best years of your life and they have been, don’t get me wrong. But right now I need a long time to relax and summer is just a little to far away.
Swimming in a clear ocean, snorkeling, diving in pools or just lapping up the sun on a inflatable lilo. All these are things that I love to do to relax but they all involve time. Time I just don’t have. Plus in Cali the water is just a little too cold.
Currently the bath has become my place of rest and relaxation. The bath is a place where I can clear my mind of all thoughts, close my eyes and dream that I’m lying in some luxurious sea. Unfortunately this dream is shattered when I step out the water filled shell into reality.
It was reported that Arians was retiring after 5 years as the Steelers OC. However, about a week after leaving the Steelers’ franchise, Arians was hired by the Indianapolis Colts for the same OC job.
This drove myself and many other sports journalists to ask the question, “Why did Arians retire, and then immediately find a new job?”
The team, led by Rooney, basically evicted Arians, but did not fire him. They simply forced him out of the job. They didn’t fire him, and he didn’t really retire. He was told to retire so that Rooney wouldn’t have to fire him.
Ya, it’s confusing, but I view Rooney as the ring leader.
Sometimes, well actually most of the time I feel like I have absolutely no time to myself. I go to school, and usually make it home by 6 30 after soccer practice and everything, then its dinner, shower and by the time that’s all done it can be as late as 8!
Next of course like a good student I spend time doing homework and when that’s all done its straight to bed, because the next morning I have to be up at 6 30.
Now obviously I am complaining, well that’s true, but I did choose to go to OVS and take AP classes, but that still doesn’t mean that I do not deserve some R and R.
Usually that’s what the weekends are for, but between family events and soccer games, those are gone too. Sometimes I really just feel like running into the woods to be completely alone for just a few hours!
The Internet and privacy go together like cats and dogs. In this digital age nothing remains private. Every picture that you upload, every comment or status update you make will be on the Internet forever. Attempts to delete foolish posts or pictures are valiant but futile; if someone really wanted to see this ”deleted” information they would find a way. Companies that are supposed to protect your privacy seem to release a constant stream of personal information.
Fortune 500 Internet Companies such as Google are the biggest offenders of this “crime”. Google in an attempt to penetrate the smartphone market has created the android.
The goal of the Android is to be a direct competitor to the IPhone. Admittedly the Android is a much more open system, allowing users a greater degree of customization. This freedom does not come without its cons, in 2011 researchers discovered pre downloaded software on the Android contains security leaks. Information that is at risk includes credit card numbers, contacts, email addresses etc.
The only way to protect yourself from these privacy “attacks” is to protect your password and try to limit yourself to closed systems. Only if companies would value their users privacy.
Starlight. Better than sunlight, moonlight, candlelight, or any other kind of light.
A scientist would tell you the stars are balls of hydrogen and helium gas burning millions of light years away.
An astrologer would tell you their position determines certain aspects about the world and that they have traditional meanings.
A romantic would tell you they are beauty incarnate.
A poet would call them inspiration.
What are they to me?
They are everything beautiful, ethereal, untouchable and divine.
The stars represent dreams, aspirations and hopes that are unachievable, but always there.
Ever fancied someone you shouldn’t?
It hurts doesn’t it?
But it’s kind of a good hurt.
When I look at the stars, I feel that good hurt. It’s like watching someone you shouldn’t love. They are so exquisite, so alluring and magical.
Everlasting, always just above my head, but I can never touch them.
They twinkle because of the constant shifting of the atmosphere.
Their light takes billions of years to reach Earth. Many stars may have supernova-ed and gone millions, even billions, of years ago. But their light will remain until time catches up with their destruction. And by then, maybe a new star has formed.
They make me feel lonely and surrounded at the same time.
So insignificant, but so honored to be able to see them.
I like to think their twinkling reflects humanity, always changing, moving.
We have existed less than an instant in the scope of space and time, a meaningless fraction in the endless span of the universe.
In that blink of time, we have charged ahead, shedding our light and exploring the stars. We question everything, longing to know the secrets and mysteries, the enigma and irresistible pull that surrounds creation.
They make me want to know impossible beauty.
Sometimes when I look up at them I feel something like a physical pull, something yanking me upwards towards the night sky.
