With the Celtics and Bulls battling it out for the top seat in the East, and the Spurs with a strong lead in the West, it is time to start thinking about the NBA playoffs.
In my opinion, it will be the Celtics and Lakers in the finals again this year. The Bulls won’t be able to stay strong as they do not have enough experience in the playoffs so far. The Bulls would be the one team that I would not mind losing to if they do make it all the way.
Derrick Rose has built his team up from basically nothing. With the help of teammates like Loul Deng and Joakim Noah, the team is great. The reason behind their greatness lies with their ability to play as a team. They work together to win. It’s not all ways the D. Rose show.
But the Bulls greatest worry is the Celtics. They are tied with them as of now in the East. The Celtics have many more older and experienced players than the Bulls. However, with the recent loss of Kendrick Perkins, the Celtics have much to worry about.
But no team has the determination and skill as the Lakers. Come playoff time, they will be at the top of their game, barring any injuries. With Today’s win against the Trailblazers, the Lakers are fueled for the rest of the season.
This year’s playoffs will be “must see TV.” If the Lakers stay healthy, they might grind it out. In the era of the superstar NBA, it is refreshing to see the Bulls play team ball with energy. I like the Celtics for their defensive philosophy, but I’m not sure dumping Perkins (a true Grinder) was a move to win a championship. It was a business decision. That must have made Red Sox fans flip their lids! Actually, kudos to Danny Ainge!
I have been really impressed with the Bulls this year as well. I really hope the Lakers dont slip up because they do have the talent to win it all again, no matter who they face.
